Our images

Every image on this site is either created by our team or used under a licence or written permission that we record in an internal rights ledger before publication. Each image is credited directly beneath it. Our build process blocks publication of any image without a recorded licence, permitted scope, credit line and evidence of permission.

Our text

All text is original to Setouchi Journal unless quoted and attributed. Please do not republish our stories in full without permission. Short quotations with a link back are welcome.

Takedown requests

If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, please contact us with:

1. The URL of the page and a description of the material.
2. Your name and contact details, and your relationship to the rights holder.
3. A short statement explaining why you believe the use is not permitted.

Our commitment: we will acknowledge your request and remove or disable the material within 24 hours of receiving it while we review the matter. We will then contact you with the outcome.
